User Defined Table allows you to create and add custom data tables for managing tabular information to your DotNetNuke website design.

User Defined Table Instructions

  • Mouse over the pencil icon located in the left column of the User Defined Table Menu Bar.
  • Select Manage User Defined Tables – Note you must create columns before the Add Row Tab (under the pencil) works. – You have opened the table editor.

Add New Column

  1. Click on the Add New Column button to open a user dialogue box.
  2. Visible: Click into the visible indicator box to remove the check mark if you do not want the column title visible.
  3. Title: Enter a title for the column.
  4. Choose the type of data you are entering from the drop down selector box.
  5. Click on the disk icon located in the left column to save the record.

Edit Column

  1. Click on the pencil icon located in the left column of the record to change the column data.
  2. Change the data as required.
  3. Click on the disk icon to save your changes.
  4. Click on an arrow key located in the right column to change the column order.

Add New Row

  1. Mouse over the pencil icon located in the left column of the User Defined Table Menu Bar.
  2. Select Add New Row – Note you must create columns before the Add Row Tab (under the pencil) works. – You have opened the table row editor.
  3. Enter your column data.
  4. Click on Update to save your record.

You have now managed a user defined table module.

Making your tables and rows in the User Defined Table Module lets the user sort the table by clicking on the the table column title below.
