Text/HTML

Text / HTML provides the most powerful and well used DotnetNuke web page design module.

This module renders a snippet of HTML or text. The Html/Text module includes an edit page, which allows authorized users to the HTML or text snippets directly. The snippets are stored in the SQL database.

Text/HTML Instructions

The Text/HTML module lets you upload complete text pages or use the powerful Rich Text Editor to create your pages online in design or HTML mode.

The Text/HTML Module is one of the more versatile modules. Clicking on the "Edit" link displays the editor. Here you can enter or cut and paste your content. We recommend always using the Rich Text Editor (sometimes called Free Text Box) for your editing. The Design button allows you to use a word processor styled editor, and lets you see how it will look on your page. The usefulness of this module is only limited by your creativity. It can contain graphics, tables, and text formatting to highlight your message to your clients. There's also an optional mobile summary and mobile options text box.

For cutting and pasting from another editor Click on the Rich Text radio button. Click on the HTML tab then paste the formatted HTML. If using Word then paste in the Design mode and click on the Word Clean icon to undo the Word formatting. You can also use the Standard Basic text box or HTML editors. Click on the radio button and/or tab of your choice.

From the Rich Text Editor, you can do many functions, all which can be identified by hovering your mouse pointer over the icon for a short description.

• Click "Update" to save the content.
• Click "Cancel" to cancel all the changes entered.
• Click "Preview" to see the content immediately displayed below this link.

Make sure you “Update” your content frequently. The website will log you off if idle for more than 20 minutes, and it won't save any changes if you haven't updated. If you are not sure simply click the refresh button on your browser.
