IFrame is a DotNetNuke website design feature which allows you to display content from another website within a frame on your site. This module is very easy to set up. IFrame Include a source box for your URL, width, height, title and scrolling/border checkboxes. Use an IFrame to display a static website on the front page of your portal and still get all these tools to use. Version 3.0.13 IFrame does not accept a .ca extension but it's allowed in version 2.1.2.

IFRAME Instructions

  1. Select IFrame from the drop down module list in the administrators menu bar.
  2. Click on the Add button. You will see a blank IFrame module
  3. Mouse over the pencil icon.
  4. Click on Edit IFrame Options
  5. You have now opened the Edit IFrame form.

Provide the required information for the Edit IFrame form.

Source

Enter the Http Address of the source file.

Width

Enter the width of the display frame.

Height

Enter the height of the new display frame.

Title

Enter a title for the frame. – Optional

Scrolling

Select your Choice from the drop down list.

Borders

Select a border choice from the drop down list box.

     6. Click on Update to save the record.

You have now added an IFrame module to your page.

For the example IFrame below I used the following settings:

  • Source: http://www.my-asp.net
  • Width: 600 (these would be in pixels)
  • Height: 600
  • Title: DotNetNuke Web Hosting 
  • Scrolling: auto (if the page is longer than the height scrollbars will automatically appear)
  • Borders: no
